No one told me I was working for an MI5 school ..

    lol ..

Just had a phone call from the office staff to say "is Mr ... in the ICT room at the moment" so I answered yes to which the office staff said "just tell him, the silver birches have arrived. he'll know what you mean"

Now, thankfully, it wasn't an activation word and he's not gone bananas, but that's possibly the most random message I have passed on for a while!

Next it'll be "tell him the red fox flies at midnight" or something ..

Isn't Silver Birch a type of tree, so wouldn't silver birches be the plural form?

But the thing is, the teacher rushed off to get a pupil to take them to the silver birches .. so either we have some kind of protection racket going with the local forrest and we must feed them a child every so many months or it's something else .. either way .. see sonic's response .. too much has been said ..

I need to get our junior tech to pass some mesages like these, not ones that people are expecting.

its so that they can move the silver birches into school with no one noticing.

Maybe they had to evacuate the silver birches so that the impending fire wouldn't burn them?

Maybe the silver birches had turned up to collect their money - a sort of arboreal protection racket: 'Pay up or the playing field gets it!'

It's obvious!!! Active directory is being split into a multi-domain forest consisting of birches, oaks etc. Now it all makes sense!!!

Myself and NM have Walkie Talkies..serious jobs, they're far better than the SLT kit..heh. We find it adds fun to use callsigns instead of names, He's 6ft+, so goes by "Bigboy", I go by "Rubber Duck" (no idea why, but couldn't care less!)..so I'll be walking along and you'll hear "Rubber Duck, do you copy? Over.", to which the reply is "Rubber Duck here. Talk to me Bigboy, what's up?" etc.

We tend to use them with the headsets, so it does look somewhat intimidating..

I think the local forest is staging a coup d'état on the school.

We get the crows round here. They hit our big green lawn at work and the one in my back garden on the same day.
