Don't get snow round here. It's been outlawed and gets shot on sight.

Bah we havent got proper snow where we are..not proper powder like the stuff I ski on in Colorado. At best what we have is thick frost, or sludge. I pine for the colorado snow
(usually go to keystone, aspen or breckenridge for xmas each year, course now that little Bethany is here I havent been able to)

Yeah, all we get is a measely thin layer of ice on the roads and paths, hardly enough to make an impact. And they fixed the boiler so that's not going to break down again

In Lancashire we are surrounded by mountains on 3 sides, so unless it comes in off the Irish Sea we get nowt
It is however bright and sunny with no wind

We took it down when we moved last summer. New stations are due to go up soon. In fact I'm imaging the computers right now.

Have just looked at the local forecast for where I am and it says heavy snow showers for today but none yet.

Once, a long while ago while working in upstate New York on the banks of the Hudson River we went out for lunch at a restaurant. We had blue skies, the roads were clear & dry when we arrived, but cold as it was mid-February. We had a pleasant lunch, stepped outside & there was over a foot of snow on the cars...... it had fallen in little more than 90 minutes.
In the UK we have weather, in the US they have climate!

It's the 4 yorkshire men sketch!!
Well, when I was in Canada, Toronto one year and Montreal the other it was just nuts with snow but nothing stopped.. I became (in)famous for driving 30 miles in a blizzard to drop the kids I was looking after, at another group home so they could get to school.
Later we found out that I'd missed seeing the snowplow do our road 5 minutes before I looked out the window.
To add to the myth I had a dodgy alternator, no windscreen sprayers (they'd packed up) and the heater was trying hard to die. Apparently there was a book on as to whether I'd ever be seen alive again or as a popcicle.
4 hours later, made it into work while my boss had called in to say the roads were impassible... Mad englishmen and a snow storm = pims with ice I guess..
