If you want the larger pic. [ Need to label it correctly ]
And yes I know it's a little out of focus - I'm still using the lens bundled with the camera [ looking for a good 100m Macro for under 300 quid is quite hard ]

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Fly is Dave.

Try this link: Natural England - Gardening with Wildlife in Mind

It is a list narrowed down to flies native to the UK.

    Any help?

I would say the second - I got a nice big Hello from Little Miss earlier. Many thanks DaveP - appreciate it.

That seems to be a likely candidate:

    Common House Fly: Musca domestica:

I was suspended for two weeks [ yes like being at school sometimes ] - photo was taken with my new camera which amazingly enough the lens bundled with it is quite good - that's how I got close without it buzzing off.

Ahh, if we have people that know about flies on here...

I have an "infestation" of small flies that orbit around in the middle of the living room at home. I spray them, than 30 mins later they are back. Happens every summer. Any clues as to the type, or why they just fly around and around in the middle of the room? The first two have just appeared at 8:30 in the morning. By the time I'm home there will be 10-15.
