When you're subscribed to mailing lists with around 200 mails a day, and it goes quiet, yes!

No, It's not just you
Although I tend to also wonder if people don't love me anymore....![]()
Definitely! A lot of the staff still haven't grasped the concept of distribution lists so will email all contacts regarding "Year 7 tutors only" etc and this means I get it in my account and also the helpdesk's. If there aren't at least 3 emails every morning in each account I do a few tests.
Its the calm before the storm, in a moment you will be called to fix someones CD player only to discover that they have unplugged the main cabinet to plug it in, upon re-connecting you will be hit with hundreds of identical emails, and if you dont reply to to each one indavidualy there will be complaints about rubbish service even tho you fixed the problem.

When we were on the old LA email system, yes! I thought this a lot!
Since moving to an in-house zimbra box I haven't thought it once since (about the email box) - what I think instead is, oh crud, the internet is down again!

My staff barely touch their email systems. So when I get an email, something is usually very wrong!
