Just drop SMT an email stating the fact it won't be done and forget about it If they choose not to give you the time to so any maintenance and upgrade things then they should be accepting the fact that nothing will work as it should

Dont worry about it, it's not your fault - just keep reminding yourself that no matter how annoying it is.
