I can't really think of a suitable forum so I'll post this here.
We need to kit out a new room with IT desking and the desks need power running to them, does anyone know of a reasonable price supplier in the Derbyshire area?
Thanks.

I know they aren't local, but they did some awesome systems for us a while back. we actually modified the design to our standards, and got them to build us custom PC cases bolted on top, to which we fitted the mobo and PSU. They were bullet proof

It looks a bit workshoppy, because it is, but it's really sturdy, and i think a couple of hundred quid for a desk, but you get cool add-ons like height adjustment, powersupply as you want, tft mounts (used to do them), etc. Also, it's modular and you can have longer than usual lengths so not necessarily need 3 1m desks if you can get a whole 3m bench.
I know northampton school for girls used them as did someone else in the area.

I don't know about the Derbyshire area but can highly recommend Cotefield Interiors. They are based here in MK but cover country. They refurbed one of my schools ICT suite last year and did a fantastic job.
You could try VdotCOM - they've done a few schools i've been in and never had a problem, if you message me i'll send you my resellers email add.
Hi,
We used a company called Flexible for all our desking requirements last summer. Good quality desking, well fitted and very sturdy. We had the electrics and data trunking run along the modesty panel on the back of the desk, loads of room and stops prying hands from getting access!!

I'll have a look at the quotes and see if I can get a figure for you. They were standard desks and you can see the results in this post - The ICT Suite Refurb Begins

Isis concepts are worth a look, you do pay a little bit more but the flexibility of the kit and system is amazing and very much worth it![]()

@theeldergeek; - that's exactly what we had until we designed our own, with the company mentioned above. the money came from funds to create a new IT suite, and we saved money by building our own PCs so it could be put towards the desking and electrics etc.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but we've got diploma monies to spend and a decent sized spare classroom. The powers that be want 30 PCs in the room, but in an office style layout, rather than classroom style; i.e. round tables or clusters of tables, et, rather than desks facing the front.
Has anyone done this in their school? If so, who did you use and do you have any hints or tips?
