love the banner at the top, very nicely done.

The clock is a little gimmick-ish though.

Thanks James, The galleries are the "sigplus Image Gallery Plus" plugin.

What template have you used? the RockWebify one? I need to update ours as its a little plain and I have managed to screw up the flash banner that use to appear like yours.

The banner is nice, for about 10 seconds... then it becomes a bit of a distraction as it seems to stutter a lot (that could be my laptop/browser tho)

Not really used a prebuilt template, but, came across "Artister" an excellent (imho) tool for desiging layouts. The banner at the top is the RokSlideshow module.

    Nice.

Your pictures need abit more padding though, just a couple of px.

The only thing I would say is the load time for the site, the inital load time is fine, but when navigating it does seem to slow down.

But apart from that nice job!

Might be an old mans eyes but the Reds are a bit intense, could do with a little toning down slightly (but that is just my thoughts), the clock has been mentioned but I actually like it for an infant school it may be used by the staff for helping the children learn to tell the time.

School life content would probably benefit from different Icons and the text being used should be the same format

I would try to use the same style throughout the site as it seems a little mixed but apart from that the use of white space is good and overall the site for a first attempt is cool keep up the good work.

BTW seems an awful lot of staff for a primary school how many children are there in total?.

You're right on the button there bossman, the reds do hurt an old man's eyes.
Bow to bossman's wisdom and experience, keep the clock.

Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions.
I have taken them all onboard and have put a gradient on the background to tame the red, tidied up the school life section, and one or two other articles where the font had been changed.

As for the clock ... I actually quite like it as does the school, so for now it's staying.
