Thankfully the main place its being viewed today is the hall, and thats cunningly setup using the analog tuner from the VCR straight into the projector
Any teachers watching on iPlayer moaning about buffering can just be directed into there

I've just had it landed on me that SMT want the game projected in the hall when our kids get back from sports day. Only problem is that we didn't actually have a working network connection in there (until about 10 mins ago - that's a long story involving the electrical supply for the wireless access point being fed from the light switches, which are obviously off in this glorious sun...). I'm dreading this - the only way to do it here is a wireless connection, and something like iPlayer. As someone said, it'll be my backside on the line if it fails! Does anyone know of any other live feeds if this one fails? (I'm guessing from the name that the catchup tv one is purely recorded, not live)

I am making a cable to run from one end of the room to the other for the laptop its going to be shown on...gonna gaffa tape it down so nobody trips!

Hehe, you are right! Well, at least I can take comfort in the fantastic "Heath Robinson-ness" of my wireless point shoved up a tailor's dummy in a corridor!

I don't have the luxury of a point in the room... Else I would be down that route like a flash!

Actually, you're onto something - if the entire network goes down, I can't be done for not managing the impossible!

but will be to blame for the network not being stable :P

tvcatchup is a live stream, i believe it's a few seconds behind BBC, but live enough to watch. With normal buffering, you won't notice the difference.
TVCatchup - Never Miss A Show Again
How/where it gets the feed from I do not know, but it will provide an alternative to the BBC site, which will no doubt be lagged to death
