Any other football-haters on here? I detest the sport. They should make it more interesting with guns and swords.

Me too! It is boring
The primary I work in has said that that children can come to school with red shirts or hats or England flags when there is a match. I don't disagree that football is popular, but we do have other sports such as Rugby and Cricket that occasionally we are quite good at too.
Why should football be special

I'm not really a football person to be honest![]()
Difficault being in an office full of footie fansI don't understand what they talk about lol!

Not necessarily a hater (yet!) but definitely not a fan. I'm already hacked off with the World Cup and it hasn't even started yet.
Is anyone else starting to receive questions about watching the England v Slovenia game at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd June in classrooms?![]()

I can't effing wait for Friday. As a gay TV presenter once 'nearly' said, "bring on the ball!". Will be taking a visit past the heads office later to see if he wants the afternoon England game sorting on the big screen.
ENG-ER-LAND! ENG-ER-LAND!

It's all the media hype that gets me. Why does it need 3-4 hours of TV just to broadcast a 90 minute match. Other sports are getting as bad. It's just cheap TV I guess.

They're talking about ending the school day early here so students and people can get home to watch it - how lame can you get?
I don't like football and will be keeping away from the WC as much as possible!

I'm with the football haters - I cannot see the point in a group of grown men kicking a bag of wind around. Then there's the fact that all normal life MUST stop because there's a game on. Oh, and don't even get me started on the inordinate money that they get paid for looking like a prat - anyone else up for recommending that the likes of the firemen and women get paid that amount instead of footballers?
Lol's WC = World Cup!
I've got a load of reading material and films to watch over this daft period. The only thing I'll be watching over the weekend is the F1. Then if it does not rain I'll be in the garden.
Agreed, the people that are there to save our lives in our times of need such as Doctos, Nurses, Paramedics, Firemen etc get paid pittence when glorified football hooligans with a sense of direction get paid millions to kick as solitare puts it "a bag of wind" about!
