I think we get them from CPC, the Duracell Procell ones work out quite reasonable.

I bought some PP3 batteries from CPC a few months ago, worked out just over a pound each for decent alkalines, you can't buy them in the shops for anywhere near that.

Procell are good but if you go for GP Batteries you'll find they are just as good and usually work out cheaper. I rarely buy any other brand.

    I couldn't resist having a look... it's £9.97 for a pack of 40 GPs GP BATTERIES|GP24A-40|BATTERY, ALKALINE AAA 1.5V PK40 | CPC
Which works out the same per battery as buying the Procells at £2.49 for 10 DURACELL|15070556|BATTERY, PROCELL AAA 1.5V PK10 | CPC

Poundland - you'll get all 288 for around £24 (Sony or Kodak in my local branch), possibly cheaper.

I find they're not usually alkaline... check before you buy!

Must admit ive got boxes of the GP Brand ones as well from CPC they were very cheap one month and we don't half go through the blasted things with wireless mice and keyboards, but it has reduced since they have to pay from there own dept. budgets!
