Not tried that one. Is it Peaty? I prefer the smoother ones as a rule, but not always! I'll give it a shot - have you tried Oban? That's pretty good too.

Very! But then, that's how I like them

Oban - I have tried it; it's nice, but given a choice...

Now, Gin Martini, mixed properly - that's another good one. STOP IT ALL OF YOU! Or I shall go home at lunch, and not be coming back in a straight line

I live on site at my place, an arrangement with a whole host of disadvantages. But one of the few advantages is that I can pop home for lunch. So yeah, the whiskey sampling may start early here too!!!!

I'm only just up the road from my place too, so I always walk home for lunch. Please note, the operative word there - WALK! I don't want to come back swaying!

Meh, is your office on the ground floor? You could crawl back, but stairs can be a problem IME...

Sadly not, on the top floor! And I'm not convinced that crawling back along a main road would be entirely a good idea - I'd ladder my tights

Strangely enough I live about ten minutes walk from the Carlsberg brewery in Northampton, just the other side of the river. When the wind is blowing the right way we can smell the hops.

    Is that local enough?

    Not that I even drink.
