Soccer World Cup :)
So, it's nearly upon us. Speaking as someone from the host country, we're very excited
Are there any Edugeeks who will be flying in to watch a game or two in our lovely country?

Basing myself near J'burg, with trips to Cape Town and PE

who needs football? we have already won one world cup this year!

We're hosting it so it's called Soccer
Nice to hear Steve - have you ever travelled here before?
PE is quite close to us (around 3 hours) - we maaay make it up for a game there depending on how much support I can drum up from the locals.

Shhh. We don't like to mention the Cricket World Cup. SA has been irritatingly banished a number of times now and it's starting to hurt.

Any country that calls it 'soccer' should not be allowed to host it. Bring on 2018 when the World Cup comes home.
I think the way the draw was made this World Cup was a farce - an absolute disgrace. That said, I think it should prove to be a good World Cup, with some of the 'better' teams sturggling (Argentina), and I think England have a real chance!

Sadly wont be flying out to watch any of the Football World Cup but will be squeezing in as many matches at home as possible before the other half starts to complain.

Already blocking anything containing "Football" and "World Cup" for the pupils
Yes I am evil, but they are not here to keep up with the latest footie results and goings on - they are here to learn...
