I've changed my mobile and realised I can't txt supplier landlines with it
So PM me if you want to update your records
(or anyone else who I've missed off in telling - the new phone only lets me txt 20 at once and I'm bound to have missed someone around here (I missed my daughters the first round - they wern't impressed!)
regards
Simon

17th May 2010, 10:01 AM #9 My old phone is on Vodaphone contract and new phone is also on vodaphone which AFAIK means I can't port the number as phones4u are making their money by signing you up to a new contract .
At least I think thats how they are - it very strange finance

Vodafone are legally obliged to let you port it, even if you're not changing company (AFAIK) - give them a ring and see. Go direct, don't ask phones4u

Nope doesn't work like that. You can go from PAYG to contract with he same network and keep your number however if you are already on a contact and want to keep the number you have to go through the upgrade process.

18th May 2010, 04:14 PM #13 I think, so long as your new deal is with a new seller for Vodafone, you can probably have your number ported.. I know I managed that a bit back with O2.. and it was contract to contract .. for the free call to CS (I'm guessing they still have their shortcode dial to CS that is free? .. been a while since I've used Vodafone .. used it all the time when I was a DofE Employee) the worst they can do is say "sorry, no" ..

Have you seen the Dr Pepper advert
They might cut off both contracts
But you make a good point
