Depressed if we have a Tory goverment.

I will be very disappointed if we have a Tory government on Friday. I would like to see electoral reform so that people take other parity more seriously greens and others. The Tory government are going to stop council tax rises this will mean that your council will have less money to fix roads and things like this. I live in Richmond upon Thames which gets very little money form central government most of the money the council spends is raise locally. The people backing David Cameron locally make me even less keen as they are real Tories not the David Cameron type.

Vince Cable seems to have the most sensible budget out of the 3 main parties, however a LibDem - Tory coalition would be a superior government than any of them by themselves!

I think Vince Cable talks more sense than any of the prospective chancellors; I am however dismayed at the prospect of George Osborne as chancellor.....

So why support a new Trident with out reviewing. To me it seems silly that Trident is not part of the strategic defence reviews. As a country we must have wasted a fortune on Nuclear weapons.

Are you absolutely insane?! Thatcher admittedly did screw the country, however John Major did his best to fix the problems that Thatcher started. Just because of the past, doesnt mean that history will repeat itself!

In that case I will never vote labour again because of the problems they have caused and the massive tax hikes they have imposed.

I wonder how many people on Edugeek can remember when Thatcher came to power, or what sort of legacy the Tories left behind when they were replaced by 'New Labour'? People have short memories.....

'New Labour' have not performed brilliantly, but they have done quite a bit to improve things where it matters; in health, in education.... looking after the elderly, the disadvantaged. They have failed miserably in keeping the financial sector in check, retaining strategic manufacturing industries, preferring a global free-for-all, and for selling off our gold reserves, but the Tories in their turn squandered UK oil revenues reducing taxes & paying benefits to people they were desperate to keep out of the soaring unemployment figures.... & they sold off all the state assets such as electricity, gas, phone system, railways, coal, steel, shipbuilding.

Both Labour & Tories have much to answer for.
