OK, who's still using Windows ME then?
I've just been though the analytics for the Windows platforms being used to view the site on and this is the result:
Windows XP – 350,798
Windows 7 – 227,103
Windows Vista – 77,071
Server 2003(!) – 23,997
Windows 2000 (!!) – 1532
Windows 98 – 84
Windows NT – 28
Windows CE – 12
Windows ME (!!!!!!!!!)- 6
Who is it still using ME?
My guess it's Simon using the 98 based platforms though

erm ... only occasionally and it is just a VM ... but that can't just be me.

I'm surprise ME still works, I wonder what AV works with it!

More to the point - WHY! is anyone using ME to begin with!!
Also, where are the stats for Server 2008/R2?

I use Windows 2008 Server, so interesting that it doesn't appear. Must bundle in with Vista? I think 2k8 R2 appears as Win 7 too.

I find it's more worrying people are browsing the internet with their servers?! I hope these aren't mission critical servers and are just test VM's or something?!

ME does still sort of work ... I only have it as a few games I have are not happy on anything higher than ME ... and actually work better on ME than they do on 98SE. I also use it for the odd test of sites when using Netscape 4 or IE 5.

Some of us run server OS's as our desktop machines. For example, it isn't easy to develop sharepoint webparts without having visual studio installed on a windows server box with sharepoint installed.

Why? It never stayed running long enough to pick up anything!

That's what I meant - it would be worrying if people were browsing from their DC's and other member servers that could be classed as critical.

If anyone has continuously used Win ME as their main OS for the past 11 years without ever re-installing it and has managed a continuous uptime of more than 30 minutes then I'd say that they should be proud and using it should be a badge of honor.
For me I never got past 15 minutes without a BSOD and a reboot and I had to do a total system rebuild every month. Didn't take me long to revert back to Win'98SE and praise the $diety when XP was released.

I use ME on a box at home but it isn't connected to the internet. It's used for running a bespoke video conversion program that only runs well on ME.

Most likely people with Terminal Services systems.
