    Help choosing a domain name

I am looking at purchasing a domain but I am undecided on something. Due to the nature of the domain name I am looking to purchase I could either go for xxxxforxxxx.com or xxxx4xxxx.com.

What do you guys 'n girls think would be better?

    Cheers

I had a similar decision to make several months ago, I went with 4.

Perhaps some more detail on what function the domain will serve?

Just suggesting that if we knew what the you planned to do we could help more with for [FOR] verses 4 [FOUR]

Can you give more detail [without giving too much away?]

Ok the most I will give away is this. It will be in the format of for example jobsforteachers / jobs4teachers. Although think more along serviceforsector / service4sector

Why not just get both there cheap enough and then host on the one that you like best?

I would probably get both, but i think the "for" would be better. The "4" does make it stand out more but if you were doing a hyperlink then you can just put the "4" in then.

    Get Both Though

Does it make a pants of difference if you just get both domains and then you get emails on both

Personally I think the 4 breaks the URL up and makes it easier to remember.

However, the biggest factor I'd consider would be the market you're aiming for. If it was a younger more informal market then the 4 would be the one I'd go with.

If it was a high brow professional market I'd stick with the more formal.

One other thing to consider would be the overall branding - which fits better?

As an older person I like the 4 as well. As was mentioned above, it breaks up the url so that the meaning is instantly apparent to the viewer, baby.

I'mfor4 as other posters have said, it breaks the url up and makes it easier to remember. It also makes the product and intended target stand out more, as in supplies4schools as opposed to suppliesforschools.
