Serves him right going to Australia on a 2 week break! Hardly worth it when you factor in all the flying time is it?

I'm just wondering - d'you think all the cancelled flights will offset the CO2 being emitted by this volcano?

Otherwise we really should cancel natural disasters like these for fear of global warming*.

*Please note: This comment is not meant to be a serious commentary or criticism about global warming, or the veracity of the theory thereof. It is merely intended to be a tongue-in-cheek comment regarding the unpredictability of nature, the futility of human plans, and the variability of scientific theories. It is also intended to hopefully raise a chuckle.

Don't you know teachers have to go on multiple holidays every year so that they can come back and instill some culture into the pupils, at least that's what the Teaching Unions told me.

The cancelled flights more than offset the CO2 from the volcano. Overall the volcano is good for the environment!

There we go then! Solution to both problems is to bring back airships.

One of our teachers is stuck on a cruise ship in Barbados - I thought those ships were designed to sail on the sea, not fly!

Only 5 teachers and a Bursar; oh, and 175 out of 660 kids.

    Quite peaceful really.
