It is the postcode for John Smith House, Soutwark where I worked a few years ago.
And it gives the correct member of Parliament when returning a result.
Yeah I know it gives the right MP but what I meant was, has anyone seen an answer that doesn't say didn't bother to vote?

Anyhow it matters not as someone has already said, Members of Parliament have previously won their right to not bother voting by a smaller percentage of people voting for them. How contrary is that.

Plus, if there was half the amount of discussion about all of this more often than every five years, then maybe the state of the nation wouldn't be half as bad as it is.

Have a look at this post earlier in the thread: Link: How did your MP vote on the digital economy bill?

The links in that post show who voted, how they voted and who did not vote.

I think that the website VoteThemOut.co.uk - How did your MP vote on the digital economy bill? deliberately presents the data [in the case of the non-voters] in an inflammatory manner.

The website creators are pushing their own agenda.

    Same for me too.

I wonder what response members would get from emailing their MP and asking why they didn't vote on their behalf?

My Labour MP Gisela Stewart (Lab, Bham Edgbaston) (Her values are Labour, but she has a mind of her own, as her local leaflets tell us which I take to mean "I'm screwed") was absent.

My Dad's MP (Lab, South Derbyshire) voted against it. He's retiring at the end of this Parliament, so one would hope he voted for the people rather than for the whip.

Think I'll be upgrading to the Giganews Diamond package... VPN+The best news feed around for $29.99/mo

My MP also didn't bother to vote... can't wait to get rid of him, he's also about to retire having taken full advantage of the expenses system!

I can't get that site to work, but I suspect my chap didn't turn up. [EDIT: It's turned out he did turn up and opposed the bill]

There obviously must have been something really good going on that day.

    I FAIL.

My MP David Drew opposed #debill. Find yours VoteThemOut.co.uk - How did your MP vote on the digital economy bill?
I also noticed something interesting, he took out a full page advert in the local paper. The advert, did not contain the work 'Labour' (his party) and did not even feature the colour red. The only real reference to the government was mention of the fact he has a track record of voting against them.

I'd be interesting to hear who placed the advert.
