Tabbed v No Tabs

So what's the difference between the two themes?

If you click on forums:

Tabbed: This gives you small tabs at the top of the screen which devides the LONG list of forums into nice little sections
Non-Tabbed: well does the opposite gives you a great long list of forums

Thanks was looking at the Home page and there wasn't a difference. Is it only in the Forums list then?
