    Nostalgia: Dr Who: Tom Baker

The Sci-Fi channel is showing two Dr Who stories with the episodes threaded together.

Pyramids of Mars and Ark in Space. These will run until 10:00 pm.

That is my evening sorted then. Tom was, after all, by far the best Doctor.

    Episode Guide: Pyramids of Mars

    Episode Guide: Ark in Space

He was not - perhaps you are too young, but IMHO Patrick Troughton was by far the best doctor!

Alas not too young. I just preferred his humour even in the most difficult of circumstances.

His presentation as a 'Rolling Ball of Energy' was fantastic.

    BTW: Like the hat!

Funny, but I always thought that he didnt take the whole Doctor Who thing seriously - as if he was making fun of it, laughing AT it
Not at all keen on the new younger doctors - you don't need sex in Doctor Who!!

I thought that was just his character.

    Haughty at times.

    If you get my drift.

I'm with Witch on this one, although I did like Sylvester McCoy, the Doctor should be too busy saving the world to have any thoughts of the "other thing"

Just found out that it is a Dr Who all weekend on Sci-Fi.

Looks like I will have to go out and get the beers in [no going down to the pub this weekend]

now if only i had that channel damned freeview not having it (and refuse to pay subs for tv and have adverts why should i pay twice?)

id be tempted to say of the old series i like Sylvester McCoy better but tom baker was good i still think i prefer David Tennant but i do miss the long story arcs rather than 1 week thats it

BBC iPlayer - The Doctor and Douglas will probably prove both of you right.
