I've been editing some video stuff that I have to get to the duplicators tonight. It was half way through a 4 hour render and my wife started ironing and tripped the ECB. The ironing HAS to be done, so I don't dare start it going again until she's finished. Looks like it will be a late night!

28th March 2010, 08:55 PM #5 Solution: Honda EU30iS Portable Petrol Generator

With a 13 hour run time and a regulated sinusoidal wave form you'd be sorted for the bargain price of only £2,012.99 and some gas.
A good UPS would shield it from spikes and give you enough time to reset the breaker though which may be cheaper.

28th March 2010, 09:03 PM #6 either the ECB is dodgy or the iron is! the pc and the iron on its own cannot pull the amount of ampage that would trip the circuit (enless its a really low apmped circuit - but one thing that will is something like the amount of energy that is earthed (grounded) - normally caused by LCD monitors and screen - this was the reason we had to put spilt the circuits up for our it rooms as 31 monitors leaving a milli-amp or so each was causing it to trip
