Oh Dear.. bad news for GOP on the other side of the pond

it looks like the Leftys (democrats) have got both houses over the pond!!! I'm watching Sky News Now.. lol.....

Now naturally being a blue team supporter... the result is disappointing.. but long term will that mean in 2yrs we(the righties... GOP) should gain back control... and how does that effect us here this side of the pond!!!

I must say, that it does bode badly for New Labour. If the UK electorate can see how easy it is to vote for 'the other party' then they are going to be in serious trouble in the local elections next spring.

What is going to be most interesting about the change in power to the Democrats is that they will now have the power to subpoena anyone they see fit.

I would not be at all suprised if they open an investigation into Iraq and drag George W. up to the hill to answer a few choice questions.

In fact I would not be suprised if there was a new investigation of some sort every week on one topic or another.

That is what I put - your must be using the wrong font Subpeona in any font other than wrotebyidiot.ttf again would display it as sapina.

    Have manually compensated for you.

You think there is still left and right??? I thought the reds had moved so far right and the blues so far left that they'd met in the middle

How can anyone be even remotely dissapointer that the Bush camp now has less rule is beyond me.

I agree with the recent BBC poll that showed most peopl in (I think it was) Europe say that Bush is more of a threat to World Peace than both the Iranian and N.Korean rulers.

Did anyone see George W's speeches yesterday?

Not sure they were not adapted from scripts Ricky Gervais had decided were too cringeworthy for David Brent.

I quite agree with Netman - I don't think that there is a lot of difference between left and right anymore, in the US and indeed here.
After all, you only have to look at Blair (supposedly left wing) and his relationship with Bush (supposedly right wing) to know that.
However, a change is a good thing and it may mean that some people will not be able to go on being gung-ho with people's lives and the future of the world.
