News: A 70 Year Gag Has Been Placed On The Post-mortem Of Dr. David Kelly [?]

Link 1: The Press Association: 70-year gag on Kelly death evidence

Link 2: Cover-up claims as David Kelly post mortem set to stay under wraps for 70 years | Mail Online

Can't find a reputable [non Daily Mail] major news carrier showing this on their websites at the moment.

That aside I find myself asking: Why do this? Some papers are closed for 30 years. If there were nothing to hide in this man's death why seal the papers at all?

I haven't seen any TV news programs/bulletins [and the wife is watching 'Being Human' ATM] so I haven't been able to confirm this with a more reputable source.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

If he has family still alive, 70 years would be the usual number I'd think of to ensure anything that could harm the family members would not do, as that generation would have passed by the time it was unsealed.

    It doesn't look good though.

A combination of family and the people involved in the investigation. The 70 year order can always be reduced but there are difficulties when you get to extending it.
