We're open today mainly because of HPV vaccinations

Interestingly our web site hits went from an average 300 per day to 2178 hits on Tuesday and 3752 hits yesterday .... and still parents ring up to ask if we are open! One even rang to ask if a neighbouring school was open .

Twitter is our new toy... my teenagers swore blind that our parents wouldn't be with-it enough to use twitter, but it's astonishing how quickly the followers have built up in just a couple of days!

We're open even though around 95% of the other schools around the area are closed . I live on the other side of the county and when I left home all the schools around my home are closed too!

All as normal here - we had a few cms of snow yesterday, everyone went mad and closed schools (not mine) but now we just have ice on roads and drives.
Tell me, are we the ONLY area in the country to get almost no snow and little disruption? Looking at the weather maps, it looks like it missed us almost completely (us being Poole, Bournemouth, and the bottom edge of Dorset).
It seems to me we have been missed out and it ISN'T FAIR
