What worse is she thought she was going to hit someone!!!

It's bad. A can of de-icer is really cheap these days, and although not good for the enviroment, it is better that killing someone. Or better still, sit in the car for 3 mins with the window heaters on. Silly drivers. (I'm learning atm, but i used to cycle alot untill me bike broke.)

Are you ok? Did you get yourself checked out, even if it's only by your work first aider?

I saw a neighbour do the very same thing yesterday. Scraped just a strip and let the wipers do the rest, although they were just grinding and not moving the ice. Some people don't understand the need until an accident happens. You should get yourself checked out just for peace of mind

If I can't see fully then my car doesn't move. What's a few minutes for safety?
Silly drivers :/

Police in Ammanford were yesterday stopping cars that didn't have clear windscreens. I'm not sure what they did to the drivers - be it a warning or a fine.

Lucky I only ended up as if come off with no other vehicles involved. I was also nicely padded with puffer jacket and thermal base layer.

What part of your bike did she hit?
Even a minor knock could have buckled a wheel, or even the frame. I speak from experience sadly.

I had a mate who was knocked off his bike on a number of occasion; each time he got a nice sum of money for his troubles.
Have you contacted your nearest no win / no fee ambulance chaser yet?

I bought a hand-sqeeze bottle of de-icer the other day. Works as well as the aerosol. ie not very well. I think just scraping properly with the heater on is better; the slush doesn't refreeze to the screen as soon as you use the wipers.

Am having to bus it as its to bad to cycle. I'm safe its the other road users who arn't.
My bugbear is people who don't take the time to remove snow of their vehicle. Its not nice being hit by a load of snow off a passing car.
Hope you got their details just in case.

We put a large plastic sheet on the windscreen on a night. Works wonders - no ice on a morning
Similar to this.

Has no-one heard of car covers, or semi-covers that cover the cabin area? Two minutes to cover the car in the evening then in the morning, hey-presto - no frosty windows!
People who drive without ALL of their car windows and mirrors being COMPLETELY CLEAR should be prosecuted for dangerous driving IMHO!
