Got up at 2:45am, drove 80 miles to Bristol Airport to find our Easyjet flight to Faro had been cancelled. Went to the ticket desk and the guy in front was in a reals strop demanding to see the manager. Whilst he was waiting, we took the last two seats on the Tuesday flight and they've given us later flight back. This suits us but it was a lot more expensive flying back on the 2nd. We're lucky that we can alter our plans, the poor family in front were staying in a hotel. There are no more flights before Christmas now, so that's their holiday scuppered. Just hope their insurance covers it.

Perhaps with the bad weather
It's not good when stuff like this happens, but at least it couldn't have been prevented (i.e. someone to blame) - mother nature works like that

19th December 2009, 09:37 AM #4 I think the weather in Gatwick and Luton had a knock on effect. Just feel sorry for the people who can't be flexible and have lost their holiday. Just hope the slight snow forecast for Tuesday doesn't amount to much!
