    Well it's been almost a week and i have to say I have not missed it. In fact the work I had planned this week which I allowed 5 days [ we broke up last Friday ] I have already done.
    Could this be because I was not fart arsing around on Facebook......? Who knows......

    Sounds like some people are blaming FB for a problem which isn't really its fault. If you're using it a lot when you should be working, or poking people rather than picking up the phone and calling them, the problem lies with you, not the site. Blaming FB for the fact that you use it in work is like blaming Vauxhall for your speeding ticket.

    Thanks for this thread, mattx - it made me think a bit and although I haven't deleted my facebook account (see: 'finding out what children are doing' above), I have reviewed my settings and locked it all down a lot tighter.
    That, plus having a very common name, should help keep me anonymous!

    I have a very open facebook account but use with my professional associations (which means to average person = boring).

    Reason I keep it very open is then I can't be tempted to post something that might get me into bother etc

    I deleted mine last year when i split with my GF and hated everyone... went back on but still hate everyone

    the pic section seems to be just a place for me to look like a p!sshead now people tag me.
