How about a app that auto searches popular social media sites (eg: flickr, youtube, myspace, facebook ect) for certain words such as the school name and popular school nicknames so its easy to keep up with the "news" (or watch the latest "happy slapping" video, not that I'm condoning that or anything).

My school has sense .. we haven't got a load of iPods for pupils (though having said that, one of the heads seems to have some pockets of money so maybe I should start worrying!) ..

Question, roughly based on this thread, does anyone know if the OS X Server will allow you to control iphones/ipods as in locking of app purchases etc?

What a waste of money.
Im just waiting for an ipod equiped student to dissapear due to the newly befriended internet buddy they never used to have access to.
Im all for using technology to aid teaching and learning, but this is just plain wrong.
I bet you could employ a gaggle of TA's to drag them to lessons cheaper.

I always wondered what the collective noun for TA's was .. lol ..

Mmmm if I was given one of these the wireless would be turned off straight away so I could get more life out of the battery... I mean there is a whole day of school you would be needing it to be lasting for while listening to music....
