Having had enough of BT Broadband and their awful customer service, I want to jump ship. Options are limited where I live (no cable)
I can however get Sky Broadband, particularly attractive as we are already Sky customers.
Howver, I have vowed that I won't move anywhere with a foreign call centre. Dealing with BT India is a total nightmare and trying to deal with 2 overseas call centres while trying to make the move will probably induce me to murder someone.
Anyone had dealings with Sky broadband's call centre please? What's your experience?

They use call centers in India as well.

Though when I call I always seems to speak to someone in either Wales or Scotland...?

Wales or Scotland would be fine... I can hold my own! Is that anyone else's experience?
It's very hard getting out of call centre loops when the person on the other end of the phone barely speaks English.

My Dad found a good tactic for Sky's call centres.
If you are transferred to India, ask for a Welsh speaker, and you're transferred to someone in the UK.
In the old days you could call the BSkyB corporate HQ and ask to make a complaint, and you'd go to a manager at Scotland. Those days are long over!
They have a lot of remote workers too.
My experience with Sky isn't great. My router died and it took more calls than it should have done to get them to send out a replacement - sometimes I got an Indian, other times I think the guy was Irish - pot luck really.
It took three weeks for them to send out a replacement (during which time we were without broadband - luckily I was between courses otherwise it would have been a complete disaster) and wouldn't entertain giving me a refund for the month (almost) without access.
This was a couple of years ago. The only reason I'm still with them is because it is actually dirt cheap but to be fair the connection is very reliable and I get a decent speed.
I have sky bb & phone and use the call centres a few times a year for deals etc and ive always spoken to someone from the UK. the best thing is if you have it all with sky the calls are free![]()
