Interent drops

Please help!

At OH parents house where they have a netgear router on AOL. Using my HP laptop (on Win 7) the internet is fine in the room the router is, if I go next door, the internet is pants. Another laptop though, works fine no problems in that room.

I have updated the drivers from HP site and done other stuff but currently at a loss.

Anyone got ideas?

Oh it used to work no problems a few weeks ago when on Vista and also when I had it on XP.

Is there any other wireless networks near the house?

you could try changing the channel that the wireless is broadcast on. (1-11) You should be able to set it from the control panel on your router.
