If there is anyone out there interested in running lunch time clubs for their pupils and are looking at coding, I found a website last night relating to C#
It is a Microsoft site. I intend to read over it and see if it worth running. Who knows - with coding out of the National Curriculum, something needs to be done to push these pupils. I remember for GCSE writing a database in BBC Basic (an address book on a BBC Master) and then a bigger database on an Acorn Archimedes A3000 in Cambridge Pascal. That's in addition to the stuff I was doing on the Vic 20 and 64 machines. That interest isn't there any more as pupils do not seem to realise it is there.
Here's the link.
C# for Sharp Kids
Hope it's useful to someone.

I agree - I've never coded C# or in fact any type of C so I'm starting to read it and teach myself.

14th October 2009, 03:49 PM #5 Does anyone know where I can get an MSI for Visual C# Express Edition? All I can find is the web loader which I don't really want to use on every machine.
An MSI through GPO would be better.

Can't help directly, but have you tried running the web loader and the scouring the temp files?

I believe if you extract the .iso offline installer that contains a .msi.
