Ok, now you've all stopped sucking at your teeth or laughing is anyone using them and having problems this morning? A friends website is throwing up errors that I can't see reason for, parts of their support site is down and their support number fails. I'm hoping it is a known problem so they are on the case otherwise it is a website prob that I have to work out!
Sorry, just had to do this.

Yep ta was expecting that. It is a charity site that I tech support for. Trying to sort out alternative hosting but as ever time and money is an issue.
What sort of errors are they?
I've had lots of fun issues prior with Fasthosts like permissions changing on my folders (presumably through a restore), the PHP.INI file being changed (removing my plug-ins) and my personal favourite a database fully removed with no prior warning and no backup being available, or at least that's what they'd told me.

I've spoke to a few people I know who are on fast hosts and they haven't seen any errors.
The issues pointed out by dwhyte85 don't sound promising...
What errors are you getting?
TechMonkey (9th October 2009)
Warning: require_once(//nas04ent/domains/c/cultivations.co.uk/user/htdocs/includes/version.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in \\fhnas01\domains\c\cultivations.co.uk\user\htdocs \includes\joomla.php on line 71
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '//nas04ent/domains/c/cultivations.co.uk/user/htdocs/includes/version.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in \\fhnas01\domains\c\cultivations.co.uk\user\htdocs \includes\joomla.php on line 71
The server did completely dissappear a second ago & I have reported it. So we shall see. The only worrying thing is that in the server config on my account dynamic site is unticked! The only other cause could be if they updated PHP as the site is still on an older version of Joomla.
That looks like they've moved your site to a different storage area and joomla is still looking at the old path. Your scripts used to be on \\nas04ent and this is set up within the joomla config files as the installation path or similar (never installed joomla so I'm not sure on the specifics) but you've been moved to \\fhnas01 and so trying to include the file using require is failing.
Pretty poor form if they've done that without telling you.

I have to agree it looks like the site has been moved, or possibly restored to another server due to a failure. I used to host my website with Fasthosts but now I just have some domains with them. The hosting I moved shall I say, abroad...

Aha, I did not notice that, I was just looking at the files. Well spotted.
Sorted, thanks to all. That was it all up and running now
Phew
