    Sandwich heaven!

Just had a walk around to Morrisons to get some lunch and bits and pieces. A lo! There was a new bagette on the sandwich shelves. Spicy chicken with tzatziki and onion. Lovely, lovely sandwich, and definately a 9 out of 10!
What's your favorite sandwhich (it can be home made or store brought), or the best one you have come across recently?

    Oh good question!

I have recently discovered the joy of making my own bread and honestly it has revolutionised my sandwich experience. Chunky wholemeal with butter, Quorn sausages (yep a veggie), onion and mustard. Sandwich joy!

    Ah its made me hungry

I only have a pot noodle today
and its not even a real one, its from asda

Subway have changed the Monday "sub of the day" to chicken tikka. Shame they don't have a korma or masala sauce to go on it.

    Co-op do an awesome sandwich.
Something along the lines of Chicken, Bacon, Stuffing, onions and mustard. It's damn fine!
Won new sandwich of the year to boot
The Sammies 2009 - British Sandwich Industry Awards

Made from the finest ingredients, The Co-operative Truly Irresistible British Roast Chicken and Sweetcure Bacon Sandwich (2.70) – launched in spring 2008 – contains succulent British Freedom Food chicken and smoky sweetcure bacon made using pork from RSPCA-approved Freedom Food farms. It’s topped with creamy mayonnaise, sage and onion stuffing and lightly-fried sweet onions. Delicious.

Although today, I'm rocking the humble Cheese and Ham. Still a classic

foot long sub comprising of the following.

    Italian Herb and Cheese Bread
    Chicken
    Ham
    Turkey
    Beef
    Cheese
    Lettuce
    Tomato
    Cucumber
    Olives
    Sweetcorn
    Jalapeno Peppers
    Green Pepper
    BBQ Sauce
    South West Chipotle Sauce
    Mayo

Nobody I know likes it but me, but thats because I pick it apart and it takes me an age. Usually costs me around 4.50 for it but well worth it as it lasts about 2 hours!

Can't beat a cheese and onion sandwich!

It needs to be thick slices of onion though, not chopped that finely chopped into tiny pieces rubbish!

One of my faves too. Stuffing does not get used enough in sandwhiches IMHO.
