We re in the process of quitting Sky broadband and going with Virgin. We can only get 1.2mb with Sky whereas Virgin can offer us the full 50mb (or there abouts). We were also experiencing broken service where we would have to go weeks with no broadband at all quite regularly. Its also quite expensive I think compared to Virgin when you get the whole TV, phone and broadband package. So goodbye Sky

I've been with SKY for over a year now. I have the basic SKY TV package, but have the line rental, Free evening and weekend and SKY Broadband MAX package and I must admit I've not had one single problem with anything. The connection is a decent 6mb one (not bad for Norfolk) and is never throttled.

I can't say anything about fibre as we are pretty much ignored in that department here.

Total cost is approx 30 per month. That was the cost I was paying for BT Broadband alone. So I'm saving approx 20 a month as well.

I got a call from their tech support needing the MAC of the router so that's probaly why. There tech support is a bit of a pain. When I took it out I ended up with three routers and when I had a problem initially I had an argument with the guy on the end of the phone who told me that I didn't have broadband. Why would I make up such a preposterious lie?

Having said that I don't really have a problem with it it's OK for the money though I only have bog standard ADSL MAX, I think I'm getting about 6Mb.

Red face Sky Broadband is Great

I have used Sky Broadband now for two years, I have moved three times within this and I have not been disconnected once. Its fantastically quick and I find it great for downloading.
