windows is supposed to be cracked and distributed. it always has been. MS ensure that it has a token copy protection because they need the warez kiddies to be using it. If the kids don't use it because they don't have the pocket money for it then they'll learn alternatives. MS don't want the warez kiddies to grow up using linux!

You're going to have to curb your love for the MAC, I don't want my customers spending a fortune and wasting their money

So let me just get this right. Your complaint about Microsoft is that you find it easier to steal software from them rather than legally purchase it?

May I recommend to you not using it at all if you dislike it so much, rather than being a thief?

As for Apple, I'm quite certain if they didn't lock it down to only their own overpriced hardware there would be just as many illicit copies of their various Linux versions on computers.

Could be wrong so correct me If I am wrong but I think the point of view that apple are coming from is that even if you do use an illegal copy of OS X whether its project 86 or a copied OS X disc you will like it that much that whether or not you get all the features of OS X that you will end up at some point buying there hardware

I've used OSX on Apple hardware before, it didn't persuade me to buy an Apple, nor do I feel any real desire to use it again.

I'll stick with Windows and Linux on hardware of my choosing thanks.

I am actually looking into running os/x on my pc since its far more powerful then most macs anyway and a damn sight cheaper. I read a post on another forum about someone who did it and his benchmarks made macs look rather poor.

The absurdity of it being illegal to run a piece of software on hardware of your choosing is the reason why i will never buy a MAC.
Choice is the reason we are all different!
