Strangest request?
Student asked me if I wanted her virginity. A very unpleasant moment indeed. She got a very startled "no".
Kids will say anything to impress their mates.

No. XP is region specific. If you want the Spanish version you'll have to get that edition.

Oooo... more robots for the Australian army ( A wage a month )
"My car is overheating can you help?"
Along with the multitude of requests from the drama / events people as we double up as Sound and Lighting Engineers too, along with stagehands... I've only been here a month!

Batteries - for a hand-held fan!
Its not just techies that get this
I had a student ask me "have you got a stick sir" once.
My wife informs me that many a girl would happily give her virginity to Batman, so i think you were asking for that one really.
Once had a student come in to borrow a screwdriver. Which is fair enough, as it's actually quite likely we would have them (and did), but I don't lend my own tools to students, especially not without asking why they want them. "Mrs X needs to force the lock open on a filing cabinet," was the response.
I gave him a blank stare and told him to go ask the caretaker.
I was asked yesterday by one of the students if she could practice her singing in my room (the server room) for the school talent show later that morning... she's one of my favourite kids in the school so I would've had no problem with it (especially not when it was my last day there too) but I had to say no as my manager would've looked on it less kindly! She won anyway

Had some of the not so smart kids ask me for the following.
Long weights
Sky hooks
Skirting board ladders
Left handed screw drivers
Left handed pens
Tartan paint
I know someone was having a laugh but really are the kids so thick?!

Got a new one!
Teacher asked: "I've just got a new car, and I wondered if you knew the code for the Radio as it's not working."
Batman (16th December 2009)

Hehe.
Reminds me, one of our teachers got a new car and asked if if I could show her how to open the fuel cap, and the bonnet...and how to check the oil and top up the water, what all the bits on the indicator sticks did..and etc etc...
Not sure how she even made it into school that day.![]()
