    Portable weather station

    Hello,

The head of Goegraphy has got a nice new budget for his course next year and has asked me to try and find a few things for him,

one of them is a portable weatherstation, does anyone know of a place i can get one of these? basically it just needs to be like a weather station on a tripod that you can stick in the middle of a field and will collect data for an hour or so, (wind, temperature, humidity ect) then you can download the results to a PC,

i have found this WeatherBuffs.Co.UK - Pro Weather Station Shop but it may be a little expensive any help would be much appreciated as i have spent ages looking and not really come across anything and he need to spend this money by the end of August.

    Typical teacher short notice!

    Cheers Dave

Don't you have to have the sensors ect fixed on that davis one though?

he wants to be able to take it out to different places on trips ect to measure conditions in different areas.

Setting up the equipment is easy just have set up and strap it to a pole.

The console is also easy to set up and i found it communicates with with the station very well.

I did get stuck with the software as you have to use 3 application to get it going, but a couple of calls to the tech supoprt helped me out.

Let me know if you have any futher questions
