First episode as in the first season or the second season?

another channel (Decent one this time, ABC, they also have Dr Who) just got the rights to it in Australia and are playing from the very start because the other channel just kept changing time slots and dropped it without showing the whole season.

Only by a day we had first ep last night you may have just missed first ep as think it is about 10 at night there

    From Australian Press Pack
    Day 1 – Tuesday July 7 at 8:30pm
Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones return for a new adventure in Torchwood:
Children Of Earth, a five‐part series for BBC One, fast‐tracked to UKTV.
An ordinary day becomes one of terror, as every single child in the world stops. A message is sent to
all the governments of Earth: "We are coming." But, as a trap closes around Captain Jack, the sins of
the past are returning and long‐forgotten events from 1965 threaten to reveal an awful truth.
Torchwood is forced underground as the government takes swift and brutal action. As members of
the team are hunted down, Britain risks becoming a rogue state. Meanwhile, the mysterious and
powerful 456 draws ever‐closer. Captain Jack, Gwen and Ianto are helpless as events escalate to such
a degree that mankind faces the end of civilisation itself.

I watched it and wondered if coming to work today to a school full of kids would be a good idea!
I'll be watching it tonight though!

I'm amazed that someone hasn't commented on the Civil Service's rubbish idea of a secure password!

I was generally (surprisingly) impressed, but I'd be amazed if Captain Jack doesn't survive. Hitherto unmentioned local teleport device has 'ported the device out of him?

Of course he survives - he's 'The face of Bo'

Call us sad, but Mme LeMarchand and I quickly turn the sound down and avert our eyes when "next time on..." comes up. We know when we want to watch the next ep of any given show, and don't want any spoilers. (But still want to see the credits, which I wish they'd show before the preview).
