You may have seen the news story about Anthony Gormley's latest art project - 2400 people each standing for an hour, every day, for 100 days, on the empty fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square:

Well, on the 23rd July at 1pm I too will be a plinther!
Can the world cope?
I'll be sending a stream of consciousness during my hour to my Twitter account:

Okay, Edugeekers - I need suggestions on what I can wear?! I'll happily wear it if you can provide it!

6th July 2009, 05:40 PM #9 Hmmmm, I believe that is during the summer holidays for people in the LGfL area. I may have to pay a visit too.
(What flies better through the air? A mouse or a keyboard?)

6th July 2009, 07:27 PM #10 Suggestions so far include a kilt with a pair of coconuts swinging from my nether regions, and, a heavily bloodstained white suit with the caption, "Courtesy of the Met G20 Police"...

Hmmm, Thursday lunchtime in the school holidays... sounds like a good excuse for a trip up from Kent to me!
PS I can recommend the restaurant in the National Portrait Gallery (not the National Gallery) for eating... It's right on the top floor and has excellent views across the rooftops towards Trafalgar Square.
