You could get one of these; Smart Cafe: hot cafetiere mugs
We have just run out of Kenco hereand they have bought Nescafe instead...which means no coffee for me until it is all gone...partly cos it taste like sh!t bust mostly bacause of this...
The Nestle Boycott
I have tried to persuade our supposedly liberal staff (about 99% female) that Nescafe is bad...but they don't care...
...then again I can't even get them to care about recycling or turning equipment off...

Instead of drinking it you could try a little practice some of the tribes have in South America - the cocoa bean is ground to a paste and applied under the foreskin. Perhaps that is what Gareth Hunt was alluding to with that hand gesture in the old Nescafe ads.....?!
(You youngsters among us will probably have to talk to an 'old' person to find out about the Nescafe ads from the eighties).

They call me a coffee snob here because I've got my own Nespresso machine on the desk (plus one at home).
Can't stand that instant stuff (any brand) and much prefer a decent cup of nice tasting coffee. It's almost instant as well since it only takes 30 seconds to make a cup.
The downside is that the machines cost a couple of hundred quid but the capsules are only 26p each so comparable with a decent instant brand.

My preferred option for "quick" coffee is the already-mentioned "Cafetiere mug", but I'd put in another vote for Carte Noir if it has to be "instant".

Actually, I quite like the coffee from Aldi or Netto

If it's got to be instant then heres another vote for the Carte Noir stuff - 'tis very nice.
....or Rocket Fuel if you have a pressing desire to become knurd!

:@cadjs - with you on the Nestle boycott. On which note, all Kenco instants are Rainforest Alliance which I think is better than FairTrade as it also considers the environmental impact.

You are buying scarily expensive instant coffee if it comes to anywhere near 26p a cup (and that's forgetting the huge cost of the machine)
It is still cheaper than going out for coffee and better because you can drink it without being tempted to get a pastry as well :-)

Look around for small local shop that sells beans as lot of them will grind it for you as well.

I've not tryed them myself, but these guys come highly recommended Freshly Roasted Coffee Beans from Has Bean Coffee
Did you mean the ones I use are expensive? If so then maybe, but it's not instant - it's real coffee in pods (and much more range and better taste than the Tassimo ones).
Carte Noir 200g @ £5 is not 'cheap' though and £2.50 for the same thing at Costa is just a con (but I still find myself buying them though)
Having said that, the Carte Noir instant is about the best of the bunch in my opinion.

I care! I have boycotted Nestle products for this very reason for nearly 21 years - from when my first child was born and the National Childbirth Trust publicised what Nestle were doing.
You have to be aware of the huge range of products they manufacture:Nestl UK - Product Range
I love Fruit Pastilles and Smarties but I try very hard not to buy them.![]()
