Cool ! Not been to Leicester for years
Is it open after 6 p.m. ?
Which area are you thinking of Russ? Leicester isn't the easiest of places to navigate around the center for those driving

ok there is place called flames on granby street that is a Chinese restaurant and they also do a all you can eat (not sure what nights through would need to check), On Chinese front there is another one on church gate (but not sure if all you can eat at night is in day)
Non-Chinese you have various indians Bobbys is considered best from what people have told me http://www.eatatbobbys.com/
Pizza wise you have pizza express but is slightly pricey... http://www.restaurant-guide.com/deta...,1325&cuiID=54
Out of town at mederian got frankie and bennys http://www.restaurant-guide.com/deta...4,1325&cuiID=2
On carparking terms pizza place there is carpark near, bobbys should be able to findsome where to park nearby, flames carpark near and trainstation, church gate best bet on parking as car par near there is closed is lee circle carkpark. Mederian is out of town complex and so lots of parking..
But open to suggestions if someone got something better...
If we do one night maybe a friday night that way people havnt got to worry about work in morning etc...
As for me cooking wouldn't put you through that....

There's a very good Chinese buffet on or near to Highcross St, just around the corner from the Mosh nighclub. It's called Teracotta - I went there in March and really enjoyed it - really good food and an all-you-can eat thingy. They do sushi as well as freshly-cooked stuff on a griddle - you can choose and they'll cook it.

Was also in Leicester a couple of weeks ago and can recommend La Tasca as well (although I know it's a chain place and everyone's probably eaten in one).
The Chinese buffet is also across the road from a Travellodge hotel, for those who wanted to stop overnight...

Me an webman would be up for it if we could find accomodation for the night in some kind persons house (we are house trained even from the north). Seems like a good night as i havn't been to leicester for ages (last time was on a course for sewing machines) have forgotten the name of the company but stayed at a large hotel just as you enter leicester from the north A1-M1.

what do people vote for then... and when...
I vote for the place the indiegirl suggests as a) someone i know has been which means should be ok and b) all you can eat will keep cost down for us low paid techies...

I'm up for a meetup too ... I will have a talk with the person in charge about people staying over, but it all depends on the date (we have others due at various times during the hols).
