Online Bulletin Board

Does anyone know of a cheap/free (open source) bulletin board that I could use at school to inform staff of news etc.?

Most helpdesks have one included... I use One||Zero (oneorzero.org) and that does this. Open source of course

Why not just use an internal blog

You could then just post messages to inform the staff. I do a similar thing but using Joomla

Or are you looking at electronic signage so that you can information screens around the school, staff room, etc... that automatically update their content?

If you are after digital signage software I saw a couple on sf.net the other day. Search for "signage" and they should show up. I haven't had chance to try any out yet mind you.
