    Has anybody heard of this and have any thoughts whether it will work or not?

    Ecofont | less is more

    Unless you set the font as default, I don't imagine many people choosing manually it to use in their applications.

    Don't like it. Doesn't seem clear on the screen at all to me, at what I would consider to be 'normal' font sizes - 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.

    My sentiments exactly. I only see it working on huge prints - small jobs will be negligible benefit.

    Will people actually use it if you provide it?

    If you create a text document in this non standard font then open it on another machine without the font it wont work anyway.

    Usual problem, technical solution to a people problem. That said, if printing is necessary and it's not something for presentation, this can save a noticable amount of toner, but only over large quantities in the first place.

    I investigated it once but decided the benefits were going to be negligible by the time everybody had chosen a prettier font in any case.
