    Check that you have the latest updates installed. Could be that you need a later version that what you are currently running? Does the video run fine if you try it outside Xibo? And you might also want to restart the client to get it to register the new content.

    Our feed has just started working...we didn't do anything! Problem must have been on the BBC's end?

    Same here, I wandered past today and it was playing, must have been getting on for midmorning after I added a few new items to it.

    Hello,

    Just quickly, how did you manage to remove the "control" bar from the embedded player? Has had me baffled!

    Many thanks,

    Paul R. Smith.

    As far as I remember, I just resized the region on the layout so it chopped off the controlls. :P

    I'm using the sky player, and changed the code so it said

    Code:
    <param name="FileName" value="mms://live1.wm.skynews.servecast.net/skynews_wmlz_live300k">
         <param name="DisplaySize" value="0"> <param name="ShowControls" value="0">
         <param name="ShowStatusBar" value="0">
    I believe there's a similar bit on the BBC version, but I've not investigated.

    Has anyone managed to insert a sharepoint calendar into Xibo?

    I am trying to put the schools monthly calendar into a region on the display, unfortunately I have no control over the sharepoint site as it is all housed at County.

    When loading the calendar page into a region it loads the whole page which includes the top and side navigation bars, I only want/need the monthly view itself.

    Ideally there will be some magic line of code which sharepoint uses to call the relevant page, if I can put that into a region on Xibo then I will be very happy.

    Any guidance gratefully recieved.

    Try creating a new aspx page using sharepoint designer and add the view into the page without including the master page, this way you will just get the parts you want and not the template.

    You should be able to do this in the design view and then turn it into an XSL data view webpart which you can then customise futher by getting rid of the headers etc.

    I found for some reason that the Sky News video wasn't working today.

    I found another method, not sure how legit or not!

    Using Safari's Inspect Element feature, I found that Sky News headlines are produced as an flv file which they wrap up in their player. Calling their player doesn't work, presumably due to the referrer.

    Instead, I used a free flash player: JW Player: Flash Video Player | LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player

    Then grabbed the FLV location: http://static1.sky.com/feeds/skynews...y/webheads.flv

    Finally, coding this page and uploading it, along with the JW Player files to one of our webservers, allowed me to play the Sky News headlines video automatically (without the menu bar too) instead of using their WMV stream.

    Note, the Sky News flash video size is still pretty small at 500x282, but I doubled it up and well, it's a bit bigger!

    Code:
    <div id="container">
     <script type="text/javascript" src="http://local server/flashplayer/swfobject.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        var s1 = new SWFObject("http://your local web server/flashplayer/player.swf","ply","1000","564","9","#FFFFFF");
        s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","true");
        s1.addParam("allowscriptaccess","always");
        s1.addParam("controlbar","none");
        s1.addParam("flashvars","file=http://static1.sky.com/feeds/skynews/latest/daily/webheads.flv&autostart=true&controlbar=none");
        s1.write("container");
    </script>
    </div>
    Hope that helps someone!

    Hi all,

    I want to implement Xibo, and has installed the latest Xibo server and client.
    How to implement the TV as the display if the server is in 3rd floor and we have 5 floors with 3 TV display each floor?
