Anyone using XIBO

Yay I managed to get the bbc feed working after upgrading to 1.05, before that i could only get the sky headlines which just repeats. Happy happy happy

Xibo 1.0.6 has been released. I upgraded today, but found you need to delete the old 1.0.5 folder in /var/www and replace it with the 1.0.6 one.Otherwise no problems yet (but the timeline option in the layouts right click menu does nothing?)

Has anyone got solution to restart xibo client from server PC or other PC. Is there any bat file we could run to restart the client?

I've created bat file which restarts when hotkey is pressed from client pc. But i want to restart it from server or other pc. Is this possible? Please Help!

Restart Code: Save at .bat (You will also need to create a sortcut for Opening Xibo Client. As you can see I've saved it in C:\.......)

taskkill /im XiboClient.exe
start /max C:\Command\XiboClient

Then you can create a sortcut for the bat file and add Hotkeys.

I was able to get a DVB-T signal onto my Xibo layout by making a webpage with VideoLAN embedded onto it. The client does need a USB DVB-T stick and TV Aerial though.

I'll dig the code out on Monday.

Sorry to jump in...I am trying to hide the mouse (pointer) when using Xibo. It keeps displaying in the middle of the screen. Does anyone have an idea\utility that will make is disappear when there is no activity please?

Thanks for the reply guys, I've used the commands i made and saved it to clint local pc and created sortcut. Useing AB Tutor i can send those commands easily. Thanks for the help.

Are you using powerpoint? Only had that problem using powerpoint,everything else the mouse disapeared. To get round PP(which was only running pictures) I used photostory as suggested by someone on here.

I Need HELP again, Could anyone tell me if there is a way to copy layout and regions in Xibo? I created 1 template for canteen menu abd i want to copy it so i can amend it for everyday. Please help.

Can you not do it in phpmyadmin? Create 4 more days, and copy the values from the 1st day into the rest. Backup your db first though as it may break it.

At last check there certainly wasnt a way to do it in the interface.

Cant you just create a new layout using the canteen template make your changes then save it as a new everyday template?

Or just create an each day layout using the canteen template? Then amend what you need.

I've tryed to use the canteen (Monday) layout and save it as somthing else but didnt work. It would just change name for the current one. How do i save Canteen (Monday) as a template? Thanks for quick reply.

When you have the layout open you right click on the background and save as template then use that to create new layouts
