Hi I thought I would just check you are placing it in "embedded html" that's how its done here and it works great.

the bit on the end is alternative channels.

    Code:
     <!--
                                 *** Channels ***                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_one_london.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_one_london.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_two_england.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_two_england.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_three.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_three.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_four.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_four.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/cbbc.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_cbbc.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/cbeebies.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_cbeebies.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_news24.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_news24.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_parliament.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_parliament.xml">                             flashvars="embedReferer=&embedPageUrl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/&domId=emp1&config_settings_autoPlay=true&playlist=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/bbc_alba.xml&config=http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/simulcast/config_bbc_alba.xml">                           -->

Yep its in Embedded HTML. Its as if its going to work but it sits there on the rotating buffering wheel.

I have it working now using Arthurs solution and have managed to cut out the control bar.

What part of the HTML code controls the control bar?

Does anyone know if it's possible to overlap regions? Or alternatively bring a region to "the front"?

Also I have a slightly annoying issue that if I place a region in the corner it doesn't appear in the corner on the plasma screen. Another one is if I place a flash clock right on the left-hand edge on the design screen, on the plasma screen itself there is a left indent before the clock. In the properties of the region the left indent is set at 0.

I cant answer your other questions but I haven't turned off the control bar, just hidden it. I made sure that the entire video window was slightly taller than the Xibo region which hides it from view.

Yeah managed to do it the exact same way myself after I'd asked the question.

It's quite interesting learning what xibo is capable of. Up to now we've only ever used it for powerpoints but the display I'm working on at the moment has the day, date, and period, flash clock, weather widget, bbc news video stream, javascript quote of the day , and a bbc news RSS feed.

Can anyone please explain how to have two powerpoints on a loop in the same schedule? Struggling to work it out. I have created two layouts, one for each powerpoint. I've scheduled both to appear but only the one powerpoint displays. Do both need to be set as a priority? Do I need to do anything with the display order in the schedule options?

@protocol - I like it. Thats some good work!
Only just started playing Xibo again after a long time. Would like to know more about the backend stuff.
How have you formatted the RSS feed(ticker) to display headlines in yellow and no date? Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question but I have never played around with rss feeds. Would be interested in your PHP script if you wouldnt mind sharing?
Who updates your items like the quote of the day?

I need to get someone with zero IT skills to do this so need to make it as simple as possible.

The quote of the day changes automatically every day using HTML script. It doesn't need updating manually each time.

Has anyone managed to display channel four live on Xibo? I'm wanting to live stream the paralympic winter games but you need to sign up for an account.

I'm using Xibo in a production environment. It displays corporate adverts, news, weather, sports, campaigns, local business information, sales statistics, urgent notices, cartoon strips, everything you can think of. It took a lot of effort and there are a few quirky bits but it works fantastic.

The computers login automatically and shutdown on a schedule.
