31st May 2009, 08:33 PM #1 2 Weeks Left
Just thought i would let anyone who is interested that about 2 or 3 weeks ago i had an interview for a university local to myself for position of IT Tech and i had been offered the job.
My school knows and i have handed my resignation in and all the contract forms are all signed and ready for me to start on the 16th June.
I am very excited and kind of sad at the same time, i have been working in my school for nearly 4 years now, i liked the job but as you all know schools and IT have there issues and i have wanted to get out.
This job pay is far greater for roughly the same amount of work. But again thats schools for you.
I guess i will be nervous about everything being different but thats life.
I will still be on here as often as possible. Wish me luck.

Have fun!

1st June 2009, 10:30 AM #15 Thanks everyone, i am looking forward to working as part of a team who have similar interests.
I know it is a bigger step up but i think if i can survive here as i have i should be ok there.
Of course i will still be on here, my future colleagues may already be on here. If not i will definitely let them know.
