Recently i have been offered a new job, assistant network manager. WOhoo
The school is embarking on introducing SharePoint services, outlook web access, sharepoint portal for faculties and also the VLE class server. I really know very litte about how they work/intergrate and would really like to learn more about them. We currently have them set up but the person who set up the servers has left and were in a bit of a pickle. Everything is work ok at the moment but cant help but feel something will go wrong very soon.
I can use the front ends and understand the functionality but really need to dig deep and find some back-end information on Share Point. If anyone could point me in the direction of some good resources id greatly appreciate it. Also tuition wouldnt go a miss!
Cheers

Congratulations!
Sharepoint resources are in abundance- I have used this one in the past and it's pretty good at giving you an overall picture of how it works and what to do to implement the technologies within it:

Exchange- again there are many books and recources out there- but this is one of the best:

Also these:

Hope they help!

many thanks, hopefully these resources can help me get one step ahead before we really start "messing" in the school hols.
obviously sql server is the back bone to these technologies, a link to something about that maybe useful also if anyone has a link or two.
are they difficult to get your head around?

SQL Server is a bit of a beast- but I found that downloading SQL Server Express and learning that first gave me a good skills' transfer and an easier transition. You can download SQL Server Express from Microsoft.
You're gonna be busy! :-)
