Knackered iPod

My son, who is working in Korea, has just told me that the buttons on his iPod have stopped working. Anyone know if this is common fault that can be fixed?

Try a Google search, lots of results for that problem so i'll assume its a common fault. You basically need to do a software reset, which means holding down the right combination of buttons on the ipod (even thought they are not working).

You'll need to know which ipod it is for the right combo i think?

Key combo: Try holding down the round middle button and top button till the apple symbol flashes up on the screen, they need to be held down at the same time.

it seems to be commonish, i know it happening to a few people.

The middle button on my 2gb nano classic is starting it, makes it a pain to play music quiz.
