So, what do you guys think? Hoax? the next big thing? do you think the idea is even possible? can you imagine the set-up/equipment they'd need for it to be even partially plausable? what problems do you think they'd have to over come? how would you do it? would you buy it?

The infastructure has to be in place to support this
Xbox Live and PS Store both have game downloads, however both have said that this can not be the main distribution until everyone has high speed access.
Having it completely online means the connection has to be uninterupted high speed all the time, if your connection goes down, you won't be able to play anything! do you really trust BT (Or any phone line supplier) that much?
@Dos_Box: sorry, the dangers of using iSpy I was driving to work when you posted that and it was off the bottom of the screen by the time a logged in. Should have checked more closely
This is what caught my attention about this story. Think of it 10m gamers expecting to play lag free Quake 3 (or whatever) online at the same time. How good must their custom RDP protocol be to do this? How powerful a supercomputer/mega-cluster would be needed to support all these gamers?
It's make googles infrastructure look like a collection of ZX81's!
